Josh Holler gives an excellent perspective on how the trauma of war, the comradery among enlisted warriors, and the grief of suicide intersect with the good news of the Gospel. I wish I could have read Redeeming Warriors before I deployed with the 821st TC BN in 2011. I think I would have been a better chaplain if I had done so.

Read moreJosh doesn’t stop with the person, but takes the reader on a journey of hope, that employs the PTSD victim’s family, friends, pastors, chaplains, mental health professionals, the Holy Spirit and Scripture. Josh’s writings reinforce the notion that it does take a village to encourage, energize and experience the joy of a person’s recovery from the effects of trauma.
