This book is VERY helpful and I would urge any Christian, especially church leaders and elders to read it. I am a new Christian (baptised as baby) of just a few years and have been quite shocked by the obvious yet subtle division between the believers Baptist view and infant Baptist view. All praise goes to God for sustaining me throughout my thinking in this area as its enough to send a new Christian packing. 'Christ died once for all on the cross, His atonement can be neither repeated nor prolonged. He rose from the dead once, never again to die. If baptism were repeatable it would signify the incompleteness of the work of Christ, contradicting the Gospel'. Thank you Robert Letham for this excellent brief but thorough book. I have read a number of books on baptism now and this book has really served to cement the biblical viewpoint that I hold. Glory and thanks be to God for His work in your heart.
