Repentance

Turning from sin to God

Thomas Boston

  • /

Description

The most important message for every person is that of the need for repentance – by one of the last great Puritan preachers, Thomas Boston (1676–1732).
With wonderful exposition, Boston opens up a multitude of scripture passages on an issue that it is the duty of every Christian to tell the world of – the impending judgment that awaits each one of us, the call for repentance now, and a message of hope and assurance only to be found in Christ.

Endorsements

"To any who turn back in puzzlement as to why Boston's book should be rated a classic I say go back and read the book again and I can guarantee you will realise that you have not been wasting your time."

J. I. Packer
(1926–2020), Board of Governors’ Professor of Theology, Regent College, Vancouver, Canada

Author

Thomas Boston

Thomas Boston held a pastorate with a very small Congregation in Simprin, Scotland until 1707. He was an extremely popular preacher, though self–effacing – considering that he had but “small talents.” Many of his sermons came to be published after his death at the age of 57.
