This groundbreaking study examines D. Martyn Lloyd–Jones’s distinctive teaching on the Holy Spirit, particularly his views on Spirit baptism, revival, and Spirit–empowered preaching. Drawing on extensive research including unpublished materials, Eveson demonstrates how Lloyd–Jones combined Reformed theology with an emphasis on spiritual experience. Includes valuable appendices and bibliography.

The book will eliminate many misunderstandings concerning Lloyd–Jones’s doctrine of the Holy Spirit, while at the same time it will convict readers concerning the need for the unction from on high for preaching God’s Word. There is no doubt that much encouragement will result from studying this book.

This is an enormously valuable book … I determined to purchase three copies for the three of my grandsons who are preachers. How helpful they will find it!
