True life missionary stories where the West meets Africa and both learn from each other as well as learn about God.
Dick Anderson’s stories are full of adventure, humour and faith. Learn what happens when the missionaries lose their way in the bush, when a leopard attacks a camel, when lions stalk the missionaries in their camp, when bandits arrive in the village and when the Turkana people realise that God speaks their language and Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Dick Anderson
Dick Anderson was a pioneer missionary in Turkana Kenya.

When we returned to Africa for a year we wished to keep in touch with our six-year-old granddaughter. So we dug into our past experiences and sent her some stories on tape. Later she urged us to publish them so that other children may taste the flavour of Africa.
Whole tribes today still await the message of Jesus' love. African Adventures is about sharing this message with people in circumstances unlike our own, dogged by poverty and many dangers. Despite these differences, the Gospel speaks to human need in every culture and each chapter has a biblical lesson which any child (or parent) can take to heart.
