In Miracles from Mayhem May Nicholson told the story of how she went from being a drunk no–hoper to establishing Preshal, a Christian trust based in one of the most needy areas of Glasgow. Preshal comes from the Gaelic word for precious, and Preshal aims to show those who come in that they are precious, whatever their circumstances, whatever their needs, whatever their addictions, whatever the state of their mental health. Opening More Miracles from Mayhem opens the door to Preshal and allows the reader to meet those who come through the door, both locals seeking friendship and support as well as members of the staff, several of whom have come up through the ranks.
Those who tell their stories in More Miracles from Mayhem come from all sorts of backgrounds, from loving and Christian homes through to abusive and manipulative backgrounds to having no home at all, rather spending over 30 years in the care system. The book will move readers to tears, to laughter and to prayer. This book will give you new hope as you read of those who have come through terrible times and have found faith and hope.

The variety of circumstances of deprivation in which many of those lives were, until they met with May or came to the project, is huge but they have a feature in common. When the Lord Jesus by His Spirit came into these lives, His entry made a remarkable difference. His entry produced miracles indeed. The lives are narrated in a very clear direct way which I found compelling.

"May's story is one of courage and determination and belief in God that not only captivated me but inspired me in the knowledge that all..who have experienced similar problems are in good hands".

"I've got dreams for Preshal and I think about them when I pass the local chemist and see a whole queue of folk waiting for their Methadone. There are so many needy people in Govan, my dream is that Preshal will be able to reach out to them and that they'll discover that they are precious too. Maybe one day there will be a queue waiting outside Preshal all wanting to hear about Jesus."
"This easy to read book will doeart good! It is full of real life stories of people who go in and out of Preschal, a Christian project in Linthouse, a deprived area of Glasgow..it will remind you of the reason Jesus came and give you cause to rejoice in the fact that our Lord Jesus is alive and at work today."
