I think it is exactly what Mrs. Spurgeon would have hoped to be done with God’s work in her life. This is my favourite book on Susannah Spurgeon.

This is an extraordinary account of an extraordinary woman. Too often dismissed as the invalid wife of a great preacher, Susannah Spurgeon was in truth a ‘woman of valour’ (Proverbs 31:10) and a partner in the gospel with her husband. When the great explorer David Livingstone asked Spurgeon how he did the work of two men every day, the reply came: “You have forgotten that there are two of us, and the one you see the least of, often does the most work.”
Susannah did suffer years of chronic and debilitating illness, but through it all she looked eagerly for ways to serve the Lord. Her famous book ministry,
