The Reverend George Philip, the former minister of Sandyford Henderson Church, Glasgow, died recently. His funeral will take place on the 1st of March at his former church. He had a huge impact on the church in Scotland that will continue for decades to come. He has now entered into that rest which he longed for.
One of the great legacies he gave to the church is an exposition of the Apostles’ Creed. He takes this ancient yet timeless document, explains it warmly and clearly, phrase by phrase to give us a better understanding of what we profess to believe, when we repeat the Apostles’ Creed.
We extend our sympathy to his family and friends as they gather and as they recall the privilege of knowing George.
At Christian Focus we count it a privilege to have published his book The Apostles’ Creed almost 40 years ago. It is still available, and we are making it available for a short time at £5 a copy. It is 202 pages and every page is a jewel.
