Dr Woodhouse is a distinguished theologian and Bible expositor whose gifts are widely recognized. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New South Wales, and then worked as a geologist for two years before entering Moore College to study theology. He later earned a Bachelor of Divinity from the University of London and the Doctor of Philosophy degree from Victoria University of Manchester. For nearly thirty years he has lectured at Moore Theological College in Sydney, Australia, where he has been Principal since 2002. Prior to his position as Principal, he also pastored Christ Church St Ives (Anglican) for more than 10 years.

While his academic focus is on the Old Testament, he has recently published a commentary on Colossians and Philemon with Christian Focus Publications. Other works by Woodhouse include commentaries on 1 and 2 Samuel, as well as numerous published articles on both the Old and New Testaments. He is also a contributor to the Reformation Study Bible.

At Moore Theoogical College's website, you can view his faculty page which lists his published articles. You can also listen to or download any of his more than 700 sermons and lectures, accessible here. For Simeon Trust, Dr. Woodhouse contributed a six part lecture series on Preaching Old Testament Narrative. That is also available for free MP3 download, here.

Dr. Woodhouse's recent commentary on Colossians and Philemon was birthed from a series of sermons he preached on those books. Those sermons are available via Vimeo.com on video: see the Colossians sermons here, and the Philemon sermons here.
