REDEMPTION - one of these words Christians tend to use a lot but can sometimes have a bit of a fuzzy idea what it actually means. The whole of the Christian Faith turns on this word, to redeem is to ‘buy back’ and it is God that is at work. On the cross, Christ bore the penalty for all our sins, so that those who trust in him may once more have a relationship with God. Christ was the means of redemption for us.
