Taking the Bible at its Word

Taking the Bible at its Word

Paul Wells
  • £9.99 £2.50

Description

God's Word is the same yesterday, today and forever! God's Complete Word still speaks to us today. It tells the story of God coming to us for our salvation. We are given the possibility to know God and what he did for us. We can find no way to climb up to God. Our only hope lies in movement from the other direction-God coming down to us. The Bible shows a God who reveals himself to his people in the Old Testament and by the coming of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

... this excellent book is a distillation of a lifetime of study and teaching and provides a comprehensive presentation of the doctrines of Scripture.

Evangelicals Now

"There is no issue more important to the church than the authority of Scripture. Now more than ever Christians need clarity and reassurance about this critical doctrine. For this reason, I am grateful for Paul Wells' new book which provides such a well-written, accessible, and faithful introduction to the doctrine of the Word of God. Deep enough for the scholar and clear enough for the layman, it is a book that deserves to be widely read."

Michael J. Kruger, President and Professor of New Testament, Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte, North Carolina
