About Carine MacKenzie

How can a basin of water help you write your first book? Carine Mackenzie wrote her first book, Gideon - Soldier of God, in the kitchen of her home in Inverness, Scotland. A two year old was at her feet playing blissfully with a basin of water. "It was the only way I could be sure of getting some peace and quiet ... and it worked." The two year old is now married with a family of her own and Carine's first attempt at writing has grown too. Her talent for retelling Bible stories has meant that children from all over the world have been given the opportunity to discover Jesus Christ for themselves. The first title written in the kitchen with the assistance of a basin of water has inspired the production of many other books. Carine now has over 50 different titles in print and sales of over 3 million books.

Customer Reviews

This book, along with the other titles in the series, is well written and excellently illustrated. It captures the heart of the story and applies it in an evangelical style. I can thoroughly recommend it either for personal reading for young people or for reading in a group situation.
