Seven Sayings of the Saviour on the Cross

Seven Sayings of the Saviour on the Cross
"This book, first published in the 1920s, has become a classic treatment of Jesus' seven sayings on the cross. Those who know Pink writings will concur that this is Pink at his very best. As only Pink could, he extracts a wealth of devotional material from each saying. Thoroughly recommended to all."

Ten Girls Who Didn't Give in

Ten Girls Who Didn't Give in
This book is a mixture of exciting, sad and challenging testimonies. I enjoyed reading about Blandina, Perpetua, Lady Jane Grey, Anna Askew, Lysken Dirks, Marian Harvey, Margaret Wilson, Judith Werghburg, Betty Stam and Esther John. These women loved their saviour and lived their lives which emulated Christ in many practical ways. I found this challenging because it made me think that I should stand out and tell people about God and not to have the fear of man but rather to have the first fear of man but rather to have first the fear of God. Life can be hard being a Christian at home or school, but with the Lord's strength and grace he enables us to shine forth as his light. I recommend this book to everyone, including Mums & Dads.

Aren't they Lovely when they're Asleep?
I would highly recommend this book to parents of children of all ages (it is never too late!) Those who are new parents can have the advantage of applying all this wisdom from the start!.

Our Daily Walk

Our Daily Walk
Amidst the plethora of daily reading notes and books available today it is refreshing to see this volume from the pen of F B Meyer. This book is not a systematic exposition of books of the Bible, rather it is one which takes themes, one for each month of the year ranging from Our daily Walk in Christ Jesus, to Our Walk of Faith, to Wisdom, Love, and Our Walk in the Light.

Taking different texts of Scripture together with an exposition and prayer most Christians should find this approach topical and helpful and may prove to be the tonic they need each morning before setting out to face the challenges and stresses of the day. A good guide to stimulate us in our daily devotions.
